2.4.07 The Book Cafe BBC Radio Scotland read out my mini book review of Stef Penney's "The Tenderness of Wolves", which I had posted on their message board using my (other) nom de plume (LancastrianNomad).
The review:
Stef Penney is proof that you don't need to live it before writing about it. Her descriptions of the Canadian wintery landscapes and the distances are magnificent, authentic and transporting. The novel is testimony to her research and her writing skills. "The Tenderness of Wolves" is a fabulous novel.
I felt great!
Michael Dibdin's death put the dampers on things. Thankfully there is another Zen novel to look forward to this summer.
